During my degree, I engaged in a practical industry project crafting a software solution for a Melbourne-based charter company. The project entailed creating a map-centered fleet management system, encompassing live GPS tracking, fleet reporting, and historical data views. This undertaking encompassed System Maintenance guides, User Manuals, and Documentation.
Across 24 weeks, we split our efforts into two 12-week phases. The first phase involved analyzing the company's existing system, conceptualizing a solution, and developing a prototype for integration. The second phase saw us building and implementing the app.
Highlights:
- Created a Full-Stack Web app using the PERN stack.
- Collaborated within a four-person team, employing agile methodologies via Jira.
- Employed story mapping, sprints, scrums, and backlog tracking.
- Maintained close client collaboration through presentations and Q&A sessions.
